After editing and color correcting, editors also make sure the finished files are exported correctly to meet the broadcasting standards. Responsibilities

  • Create engaging visual content.
  • Prepare rough and final cuts.
  • Work within the parameters outlined by the brand strategy.
  • Add effects, graphics, closed captions, and music to improve content quality.
  • Assist shoot on set or on location.
  • Take feedback from stakeholders during production and post-production.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of recording and editing.
  • Keep an open and ongoing communication with crew and clients.

Minimum requirements

  • BA/BS in Filmmaking, Cinematography, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years media industry experience
  • A complete portfolio documenting past work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
